No, it's because no one other than the Grammys thinks Renaissance is a dance album. It's an R&B/House album, everybody knows that.

Renaissamples is a downgraded version of Chromatica and was only nominated for the big ones for reasons we already know.

If anyone else submited Renaissance to Dance they would move it to Pop or Progressive R&B without batting an eye, but since it's same girl they gave ROTY/SOTY noms for Black Parade its not surprising

We can argue if some tracks are less better than others (1000 doves/Plastic Doll) but surely Chromatica is a more solid album than albums like Sour and Planet Her, I personally think Chromatica is even more cohesive than Renaissance and Midnights and very close to Folklore . 

Every Taylor Swift album is like the same song over and over again, her only album with distinct songs is 1989, the rest is, even if it's pop and upbeat, a sleep aid
