Hey! I've had a few horribly busy weeks due to school and work and I haven't really had time to read the thread and keep up what is happening here and really moderate, but I've seemed to clean there have been fights for a couple of days now. I would please ask you to maybe be a little more liberal with reporting inflammatory posts as it really helps me to see where the discussions got ugly and if many people report a post then there is a higher chance a mod (me or Daddy) will see it and

I never said that she doesn't care AT ALL, she does care up to a point (and she should honestly because It's her music, It's her work and it deserves to be heard by more people) but if we really want to be honest then if she really was CHART OBSESSED then she would have done so much more than just this throughout her career. If she really wanted chart success with ARTPOP then she would have put more safer "hit material" songs on that album (aka more songs like DWUW and less experimental songs like Dope, MJH, Aura etc)

Facts are facts, she was chart obsessed during ARTPOP and I am glad she is over the phase where she is chasing the chart. Because she succeeds most when she is not chasing the charts.

No she is chart obsessed as well, but she knows how make most profit out of her obsessions, that's the key difference.

All these songs (except for DWUW) were still experimental and not so much made to be hit material (the whole album was literally kind of too "noisy" to be made for chart success). Also guess why Gaga ended up firing her manager + other people during that time? Because she felt like she was used for money and because of this + other issues that she had during that period (including her not being really cleared for a comeback duo to her injury) so there's clearly some things here and there that she wasn't happy about, that felt forced and not right even for her. Other people around her might have been obsessed with success during that time while Gaga overall was having her own issues that some people were not really paying attention, even this lyrics from ARTPOP "I just love the music not the bling" kind of feels like a shade that she throwed at her past manager (which it makes sense if you saw the GUY video)
