yeah she is the new Madonna, commercially 

the ability to masterfully control the narrative surrounding her, the difference is that cementing herself as an album artist instead of a singles artist, which could help her with longevity, eventually surpassing Madonna

yeah probably no album will reach the heights of 25 and 21, but her overall discography will be much bigger than Adele's in no time imo

A reminder that 25 opened the first week with 3M+ PURE SALES in the US alone in 2015 when the pure sales market was declining

it was even more impressive than Midnights’s debut

there are more reasons but I believe these are the main ones 

I realize this but It's just surprising for me that the difference between her projects can be this massive, you'll think that she'll have a good portion of her fanbase help her do good on her side projects aswell but it seems like It's not the case.

Adele’s career lost momentum. She needs to reinvent her sound to jump start it again.

I think the rabid fanbase definitely helps but I think this narrative is kinda disproven by the fact that there was such a huge gap between the standart Midnight worst performing track (9M) and 3 A.M. version best performing track (3M). It shows that casual fans are a major chunk of her consumers, since rabid fans would certainly play the 3 A.M. version on loop, not just the standart.

she is still so far the biggest seller artist of this century and the gap is HUGE
