Okay, I listened through Midnights and it is not a bad album, it is very even as it is a product of Taylor and Jack's collaboration on every track. There are no outright duds, but it is lacking a little bit in clear highlights.

It is very reputation beats with Lover synths and the wordiness of Folkmore.  Before Taylor liked to use repetition in her choruses with a chorus being a repeat of a word or a phrase, here she is more comfortable with using more words.

Objectively I can see it getting a 7/10 or 8/10 based on if you like Taylor and the 80s production of Antonoff, but giving it 5/5 is pushing it.

I don't even dislike her music. She, as a person, just makes it so very hard to like her art.
