If she wins, she’ll be the first Asian person to win best actress in history. That’s a way better narrative than Viola. Not to mention, EEAAO is a tiny indie movie that made $100M on the box office. Literally no one saw that coming. Forgot to add: Michelle’s movie will also be nominated for best picture, something Viola won’t have.
