Listening to Ray of Light album right now.

Gosh that is one of the best reinvention ever for a female pop artist. In the best way possible. The album was so Madonna but in a very mature way. Some of the best productions in her career. Vocal, electronics, instrumental, all mixd together. It works so perfectly.

I hope Gaga will have her Ray of Light later in her career. That would be a serve.

Yeah. I think Gaga wanted to make a sad album but they went with the idea of  doing full dance, songs like fun tonight and 1k doves especially sound like they have a windows XP free software instrumental slapped on after she recorded and wrote them with a lot of emotion, the end result is a record a little soulless.

Maybe not, maybe the label made her do it

I'm pretty sure she has mostly free rein over her projects, and that's why she stays at interscope, but i wouldn't be surprised if she had to make some compromises every now and then

Gaga made a full interview promo during Chromatica release time saying she wanted the album to be dance through pain.

She has always been working with EDM producers on this one since like 2018 (some doing even harder EDM : Boys Noize, Baseck, Skrillex). Chromatica was always meant to be an EDM album.

Please, if there’s anything we know about Gaga and Interscope is that she’s basically free on many levels and suggesting she was forced to release this kind of music is just not it. She’s releasing the kind of music whatever she wants, it’s as clear as the sky.

This too @Lazz Monster. The Zane Lowe interview explains pretty well what Chromatica is and gives us a glimpse that it’s exactly what Gaga wanted.

If Interscope were so hard with her the two Tony Bennett albums would have never seen the light and they would have stick with original LG5 ideas. No doubt of it. 

She's creatively very free.
