I think US radio is still pretty open to Gaga when it comes to brand new releases lately, the amount of adds for HMH weren’t taken for granted (I don’t think for Katy’s latest singles the situation was the same despite her being a radio juggernaut back then) 

The problem is when the listeners response comes

@HoldMyOreosGaga's team should continue to prioritize US Radio as much as they are now. (rest isn't directed at you; you mentioned Radio + Taylor's "smash" driven 99% by her fans) Contrary to fan-fic, Gaga's NEVER been a Radio darling. AI for her hits is pathetic vs. Katy (see spoiler); she collected hits / legend status w/ catchy, radio-friendly hooks + fashion + iconic visuals + perfs. It's sad to see fans call HMH a flop when it has enough success across Radio (3rd Top 10 on AC, Top 20/15 on Pop/HAC) + Sales + Streams (great YT, solid AM, consistent ~1M Spotify) to have a better/similar run as SL, ARUTW, Judas, INLA, PI.

I'm for all for LG music reaching its potential, but I'll be a fan regardless if HMH misses an arbitrary milestone like 100 on WW Spotify. It's not like LM brag about Dope (#8) / Hair (#12) as "GP hits." Just like convos re: iTunes aged poorly in 10 yrs,  the obsession over Spotify #s / positions will also age. It's already nonsensical w/ growth in users, allowing > streams / user, etc. For all its faults, BB100 lets us see cross-channel performance, and from that POV, HMH's done well reaching a variety of demos.

I genuinely think F+E gained Taylor Swift a lot of new fans and respect. I think for Gaga it would be interesting to see what a more challenging era in terms of sound would sound like, with her lead being the best track vs. the most accessible track (that's basically what I mean by saying she shouldn't cater to radio).

Why do people pretend they know the financial back-end involved with turning a "Levitating" into a hit? Like, great for Warner and Dua if releasing 1. Solo Single, 2. Remix w/ Madonna, Missy Elliott, 3. Remix w/ DaBaby, 4. 2 US Top 10 hits in an era with ~10 singles is not that impressive. It took a LOT of work to get a hit after DSN, and given the amount of singles / MVs / collabs released after Levitating, the only other Top 10 she's had came from an EJ Remix where she sang the Rocketman chorus. 

This type of rollout is comparable to who else, exactly?
