Bobé the genius must be saving the film version for a strong week so that it goes #1

I would hope so because that’s a pretty decent strategy, but I refuse to get my hopes up when it comes to her team. I

The Fame Popster 333

Z100 went from ~5 spins on Thurs to ~2 on Fri, and yes, they played several Harrys songs that ate a lot of airplay. It's been a while since I bothered looking at Radio sites now that 99% are iHeart Radio stations- you really can't request songs online anymore?

I *think* z100's "Playlist" used to be more or less their "power rotation" ...HMH is on their "Top Songs" page at #12, which has to at least be promising (#15 yesterday) https://z100.iheart.com/music/top-songs/

People lost their sh*t when Shallow aired in a Trailer 3+ months before release. They thought it flopped when it debuted in the 50's 1 week prior to the film and that it'd peak at #5 as it never picked up on Radio, and NO traditional music promo was done. Yes, the timeframe between HMH > TG is a few weeks longer; but, 3 wks is NOTHING in the big picture. Yes, a Trailer with the song would've been nice by this point, but if we just apply common sense / bare min expectations, the song WILL rise next week:

  • TG will expose the song to every single audience member, be used across all media and promo of the movie / discussion of its performance at the BO, etc.
  • The release of the OST (a sequel to a hugely successful and iconic OST) will generate more streams, as every album release does to its singles.
  • Playlisting WILL increase (as it did for Shallow, ARUTW, INLA, LWIF on Oct. 5 for ASIB). Having only reached ~40M users so far, any increase will be to a NEW market, reducing "burn" and maximizing the chances of its success vs. saturating the market in weeks where it'd compete w/ album bombs and linger in the middle of playlists before its biggest asset (the movie) is even out.
  • it will have built solid AI on Radio.

Queen of the UK for a reason

Yes she has a BAFTA streak here, can bring in an audience for a film, and radio embraces both her genres. she’s also got more certified units than Taylor. UK as a country like ‘eccentrics’ and she falls into that with her personality/artistry
