It is nearly as succesful as Joanne, it just spawned a top 5 lead and a #1 hit (which is not doing good today) and it got over 1B streams faster than her other albums but we must be honest, that's thanks to ROM and SC having two of the biggest names in mainstream music with ROM having like 700M streams out 2B total. Chromatica doesn't have great sales either and Doja, Taylor, Dua, Ari, Billie and more surpassed it with ease in both sales and streams. So yeah, I never expected the album to do big numbers much less with it being an EDM dance house album. I don't wanna be negative but I don't think LG7 will surpass Chromatica either. loopyjae Popster This Way 532 Posted February 20, 2022 Share Posted February 20, 2022 I was watching this video of Doja teasing an unreleased track on IG live and it made me wonder how cool it would be if Gaga suddenly goes on live to talk to fans and just vibe with a new track/demo playing on the background. Like, I just know if IG live was a thing back then during the ARTPOP era Gaga would have been doing lives all day while on studio working on the album. I truly don't really like when big artists such as Gaga, Bey, Taylor or Rihanna are so secretive about their music, I would love to be part of the process of an album too, obviously Gaga would have her limits and wouldn’t play us an entire new unreleased track but imagine if she did play like a verse or just tease playfully. Chromatica did much better internationally, but it did worse than Joanne in the USA. I guess people don't want pop Gaga anymore.
