for the record I have no issue with releasing dance remixes/new production remixes as long as it's not on the debut week ro whatever. Remix bundels have always been a thing for pop songs, and if they have people who are ready to mass buy them good for them.

4 purchases limit should span across all the versions (or if that's hard to track make it 1 per each version). Bts, taylor, nicki, dua cheating the system by adding 16 versions to increase max per person to 64 shouldn't be allowed

I honestly think that not more than 4 remixes should count for one individual week, preferably only the four best selling/most streamed remixes.

If someone releases 16 remixes in one week, the other 12 remixes would not count and couldn't be counted for other weeks.

Spoiler

Or reduce it to 2 remixes max :ally:

Or they should just limit that for singles only 1 purchase counts as there is no reason to buy 4 digital downloads. Or to limit the amount of remixes that can count for the week to 2 or 3 so that it wouldn't be so exploited.

Does someone know the worldwide digital sales for "Born This Way" (album)?.

It sold 5.2M physical copies WW (1.475M US) and 1.0M digital in the US. Based on estimations its sold 3.5M digital copies WW.

Total ~ 8.7M pure sales WW.

But let's be honest, this is still Billboard we're speaking about. Billboard has always been the extension of the music industry to legitimate their bad business practices.

Many of them probably have several cards so it multiplies every time. The fact that they raised 60k dollars to buy some garb single 💀 and then they get mad when people point out that's not reflective of actual popularity

I mean Billboard has always been an industry magazine first and fan magazine second. The countless remixes and sales generate money for labels and no label wants to reduce its income.

Lets not do this now. Levitating has definitely gotten exposure from TTH but a high position on TTH != good streams as Katy's releases proved. Levitating has connected with the GP, I've seen countless TikToks praising Levitating and its longevity is due to people actually wanting to listen to it.

There is nothing organic about Dua Lipa, period.

The fact that 8/10 songs inside the US Spotify top10 are from Olivia's album still :rip

Her streaming is insane. I'm not sure, but her second week on Spotify could be the largest week ever for any album on Spotify or naur?

did you know both Sedokova and Loboda were part of the same girl group (though, not at the same time, Loboda actually replaced the other one for a short period of time nnn) ?

Noah fence but the billboard chart is about which song is being consumed the most. If a remix of a song is being consumed then it should be counted period

It is supposed to show what songs the public is listening to, not if a certain fanbase buys 300 copies of their fav's song.
