Unpopular opinion: that song by Miss Olive Rodriguiana is not good, and won’t be as half successful as DL, deservedly so... there I said what I said.

EDIT: The song won’t be “successful” and it doesn’t sound like a smash.

I really haven't seen people say that Deja Vu is better than DL tho and nobody is expecting it to smash as DL did. There are very few songs that smash as hard as DL and you cannot expect the followup to be bigger. Deja Vu will probably have a cute run in the top 10 and I can see it getting to #1 on Pop radio.

I love miss Jepsen's third album (Emotion), but Deja Vu will probably be bigger. I really like you peaked at #39 in the US so yeah, miss Olivia will outpeak that most definitely.

Still mad about it. This snippet is literally pure gold

Also a bit longer version

Just an image of a four-leaf clover

Leaves an imprint on the other side

Something we can both get over, oh I still believe in love

Time goes by, I’ll keep winning, keep losing 'til I die

Rain falls down

And I’ll catch every drop this time around

Whew a lyrics :flutter:

Tbf I don’t know a single person that doesn’t know “I Really Like You” so I wouldn’t say Carly Rae Jepsen is entirely a one hit wonder like some people consider her one

I'd say that Good Time was also a hit so maybe a 3 hit wonder?

Ooooop I went to go have a look at her billboard chart history and completely forgot about that song. So yeah, 3 hits and there are certain people that really do know “Run Away With Me” so I’d say maybe 4 hit wonder

Same level as Fergie or Gwen Stefani in terms of remembered hits me thinks

Well Fergie is known as the female singer of the Black Eyed Peas so I'd say that she is even more well known or that people associate the BEP hits with her as well. It's hard for me to gauge Gwen's popularity and hits as her haydays were before I started to actively listen to music.

I mean Carly will always be associated with Call Me Maybe and people who read music journalism will associate Emotion as being of the best pop albums of the 2010s. That is not bad but I doubt that in 10 to 20 years a lot of people will remember her.
