Pop Duo in pre show probably rules out BTS winning it, considering it's their only category and they are performing. Also they would put it in main show to appear inclusive if they won.

I mean you would think so, but BTS' performance is pre-taped and they are not physically in LA. Also we don't know if the show producer knows the winners, usually they get the list on the award day and that is when the scrambling begins. Probably there are 3 reasons why it isn't on the main show

1. The producers saw that only 2/5 nominees were attending and decided there is no point telecasting it.
2. A non-show person won (aka AriGaga, JB or BTS)
3. Taylor or Dua are nearing a sweep and they don't want them to give too many speeches.

Producers are instructed about categories like this. BTS not being there physically doesn't mean they are non shown, I'm sure after all the mess with Abel snub they would flaunt "look we are inclusive!!" if BTS won,

I agree about Taylor and Gaga x Ariana part. JB or J Balvin winning is probably very unlikely.

The producers usually know the winners, since they need that information to plan for the show. I’ve worked on Estonian award shows, and we knew all of the winners days ahead, because we had to plan everything. We knew where the winners would sit, so the director could show them at the right moment, and even had to rehearse the winners (using dupes from our team) standing up from their seats and going up on stage to receive their award, so the camera men and director knew everything by heart. All of the three scenarios you pointed out are possible.

Producers do a lot of guess work for the Grammys. Otherwise they would have just avoided the Ed Sheeran winning over 4 women fiasco but putting it in the pre-ceremony.

Glad to see ROM seems to have stabilized so high in streams on Spotify. Should easily hit 1 billion before the end of 2022. Even faster if Gaga gets alot attention for Gucci then releases some music

They usually air one of the pop categories, Ed won won both solo and album and Portugal. The Man who also didn't attend won duo/group
