I actually think Sour Grammy deserved lead... Probably still a frontloaded song but the power of Gaga's comeback + BP first song in a while w/ MV would be insane.

not you wanting to give the OGHs another chance for the "thank you X" narrative

Is this supposed to make Stupid Love sound like a hit? Pls don't act like a certain propagandistic fanbase here.

If only this proves that the GP was here for Gaga after Shallow and ASIB smashed so hard, only for Stupid Love to completely destroy the enormous hype Gaga had at that time.

You posted the first day streams ,what about it's longevity? Oh wait this doesn't exist for Stupid Love, cause it bombed everywhere after a week.

:awkney:

But Stupid Love didn't destroy any hype tbh

ROM, Sour Candy and Chromatica's debut numbers prove that. It's just that they didn't push the album in any way whatsoever + it didn't have that much replay value as a whole maybe.

the lengths you go to discredit certain releases of your alleged favourite artist always shocks me

Not everything needs to be so serious aswell. The fact that we had a #1 song both in 2019 and 2020 is amazing enough, I'll take chart performing songs like Stupid Love any day to have another #1 each year

Ph4ags had that narritive anyway when SL went #5 - #30, 911 failed to chart, and ROM went #1... Why not let them have it with potentially another #1/top 3 and maybe 15 weeks charting hihihi

I think ideally SC should have been a droplet with a video released on the same day, quick #1 debut on lock and maybe it wouldn't have much longevity but who cares.

Whew that was a stacked category. It's rare to have multiple hit songs in the Visual Media category.

exactly, from an objective point of view TIHTY was the weakest contender. The other ones were either massive hits or coming from critics darlings. Maybe in a less competitive year TIHTY could've won, who knows. I was pretty salty back then that TIHTY lost both big awards but with Shallow's slayage that's totally forgotten :oscar:

Some people have to learn not to unnecessarily try to drag other artists they dislike into discussions. If we actually want to create a welcoming and positive environment here should learn to be friendly not just to each other but also artists.

Sometimes it's impossible to debate with some of y'all. If anyone dares to say the smallest good thing about SL y'all quickly jump to the neck with your OAMH behaviour. And I can tell you it's tiring. You can call Ms. Eva Max basic, but Heaven & Hell is just as basic as Gags' last effort, if that isn't a bad thing. But y'all should try to lower Ms. Gags from the pedestal that some of you have her because, at the end of the day, she just writes pop songs.
