Let's be honest. It'll try to recreate 1989 and that was pretty basic, if well executed, pop music. Or it'll try to be like Lover which means basic and cheap pop music :mess:

I mean Taylor has more points of reference in her own discography then just 1989 and Lover. Considering she is mainly rerecording her earlier country/pop-rock driven songs I would not be surprised if she took down a pop-rock path ala Holy Ground, State of Grace and continues to work with Aaron Dessner who could produce that.

The GP knows it exists but imo it won’t be remembered in 3-4 years. Younger generations will say “wait, those two old fads had a song? they play this at H&M all the time!”

Am I wrong.

Half of H&H is literally basic pop music so I don’t think an Ava stan should be talking about the masterpiece that is 1989.

Did I ever say Ava made some special pop music? Why so aggressive? It's not like I only listen to Ava either :mess:

The Taylor stan seems to be bothered that Taylor isn't the best :mess:

I would love that

Give me dreamy rock-pop music please

State of Grace is probably my all time favourite TS track

I looved 1989 when it was released, but it got old really fast for me.

I think 1989 would benefit massively from a different kind of production, which can get a little annoying sometimes. The songs she sung acoustically like Blank Space or ootw sounded 10x than the album version.

I've been relistening to Red the last few weeks and honestly I would be ecstatic if she followed the sonical path of Holy Ground and State of Grace. But I think I could also see her moving into more of a dream-pop/alt-pop realm.
